Wild Assam & River Cruise

Dawn breaks with the calls of hornbills and the mist rising over the grasslands 🌫️. After a light tea, climb aboard your open jeep for a morning safari in the central range. Watch rhinos grazing calmly, elephants moving in family herds, wild buffaloes charging through wetlands, and a kaleidoscope of birds swooping above 🐦.
Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast and some downtime. By afternoon, set out again—this time in a different range of the park. The landscapes change, and so does the wildlife you encounter. The thrill is never the same twice. As evening falls, relax back at the lodge, the jungle’s night music becoming your lullaby.

If pre-booked, rise before sunrise for the optional elephant safari 🐘—a magical way to see rhinos and deer from just a few feet away, as dawn’s first light paints the tall grasses gold.
Later in the day, step away from the wild into Assam’s cultural heart. Visit a nearby tribal village, where you can interact with locals, see women weaving on handlooms 🎋, and taste an authentic Assamese thali served on banana leaves 🍛.
In the evening, gather around the bonfire for a folk dance or storytelling performance, where music and tales of the land bring Assam’s traditions alive. Another peaceful night awaits in your jungle retreat.

After breakfast, bid farewell to Kaziranga and take the 4–5 hr drive (200 km) back to Guwahati. The road winds past tea gardens, rivers, and bustling roadside bazaars.
By evening, step aboard a sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra River. As the sky turns golden, spot river dolphins leaping beside the boat 🐬, pass the sacred Umananda Island, and watch Guwahati’s skyline glow at dusk 🌇. Dinner may be enjoyed on the cruise deck with the river breeze on your face, or at a fine riverside restaurant. Overnight stay in Guwahati.

Begin the day with a spiritual highlight—the Kamakhya Temple, one of India’s most revered Shakti shrines 🙏. With a guide, you can skip long queues and gain deeper insight into the temple’s legends.
Return to your hotel for breakfast, then transfer to Guwahati Airport, your heart still carrying the sights of rhinos, the glow of sunsets, and the warmth of Assamese hospitality.
