After breakfast, embark on a 7–8 hour scenic drive to Lachen (9,000 ft). En route, stop at Singhik Viewpoint for panoramic Himalayan views, marvel at the Naga Waterfall, and witness the Chungthang confluence of rivers. Arrive in Lachen by evening, enjoy dinner, and relax for an overnight stay 🏔️.

Start early around 4–5 AM for the drive to Gurudongmar Lake (17,800 ft). Witness the turquoise high-altitude lake framed by snow-clad peaks ❄️, a truly breathtaking Himalayan spectacle. Return to Lachen by noon, rest, and acclimatize in the evening — this ensures comfort and reduces fatigue before heading to Lachung. Overnight in Lachen.

After a relaxed breakfast, drive 2–3 hours to Lachung (8,600 ft). En route, stop at Bhim Nala Waterfall and enjoy scenic valleys and river views. By evening, explore the Lachung Monastery, stroll through the charming village, or simply take in the tranquil mountain surroundings. Overnight in Lachung.

Head to the famed Yumthang Valley, also known as the “Valley of Flowers” 🌼. Walk among meadows, visit natural hot springs, and admire rhododendron forests (seasonal bloom Apr–Jun). If weather and permits allow, continue to Zero Point (15,300 ft) for snow-clad Himalayan vistas and panoramic photography opportunities ❄️. Return to Lachung by evening. Overnight stay in Lachung.

Drive back to Gangtok (5–6 hours), stopping at scenic waterfalls and viewpoints along the way 🌄. By evening, enjoy café hopping, shopping on MG Marg, or short optional visits to Do Drul Chorten or Banjhakri Falls, capturing the last moments of North Sikkim’s serenity. Overnight in Gangtok.
