Arrive in Deoghar, home to the revered Baidyanath Jyotirlinga Temple ๐, one of the 12 sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. After check-in, begin your pilgrimage with darshan at the temple, where chants, bells, and devotion create an unforgettable atmosphere. In the evening, explore the lively bazaar filled with prasad shops, devotional items, and sweets ๐ฌ. Overnight stay in Deoghar.
Start the day with morning aarti at Baidyanath Temple, feeling the city awaken in devotion. Visit Naulakha Mandir, known for its architecture, and the Tapovan Caves, associated with sage Valmiki and Lord Hanuman. Later, shop for souvenirs or sweets in the local markets, and enjoy sunset views from Nandan Pahar ๐ , where a small temple complex overlooks the town. Overnight in Deoghar.
Early transfer to Madhuban (~4 hrs drive ๐), the base of Parasnath Hill (Shikharji), the holiest Jain pilgrimage site. Embark on the trek (18โ27 km round trip ๐ถ), dotted with shrines dedicated to 20 Tirthankaras. The journey is demanding but spiritually uplifting, offering sweeping panoramas at the summit โฐ๏ธ. Return to Madhuban for overnight stay. (Option: elderly pilgrims may undertake a partial trek or avail palkhi services.)
Drive ~5 hrs ๐ from Madhuban/Giridih to Rajrappa Chhinnamasta Temple, one of Indiaโs mystical Shakti Peethas, located at the confluence of the Damodar & Bhera rivers ๐. Witness unique local rituals, enjoy boat rides, and see the Rajrappa waterfalls cascading nearby. Continue the drive ~2 hrs to Ranchi for overnight stay.
Begin at Jagannath Mandir, a smaller replica of Puriโs shrine, before climbing to Pahari Mandir ๐, offering panoramic views of Ranchi city. Later, visit the Sun Temple โ๏ธ on the RanchiโTata road, an architectural marvel shaped like a massive chariot with 18 wheels.
